about

Following up their successful first album release "Songs of Sorrow, Songs of Hope" in 2016, Julie and Dan release their sophomore album "Thy Holy Water". Married and making music together for over 20 years, Julie and Dan write and perform all original music targeted for the Gospel and Christian genre. It is their love for God, family and friends from the small rural Wisconsin community of Wittenberg that has set the foundations for the lyrics that are penned and turned into song.

"It's all about the lyrics for me" states Dan, "and nobody can sing them as clearly and beautifully as my wife Julie". Dan is the lyricist within this collaborative duo simply known as Julie and Dan, but he also contributes both harmonies, mandolin parts and a few lead vocals within this project.

Julie is the main vocalist who also showcases her talents through her piano and acoustic guitar contributions. "It is a labor of love" states Julie, "when Dan completes the lyrics and initial melodies to his songs and hands them to me, I can't wait to sit down with my piano to see what he has created".

The topics of their songs are wide-ranging but always have a central theme that praises God for the talents that He has given them to share with those who share in their love for Christ. Thy Holy Water is a fourteen-song project that will not disappoint. “We wanted to do a more upbeat album this time” states Dan. “We hope everyone will enjoy what we have created this time.”

Julie and Dan are always grateful to perform for the churches in and around the rural community in which the live. It is clear that touching the hearts of their fans, both young and old, while sharing the gospel is what drives them to continue on with this music journey together.
